Pachelbel and Valentine's day

Yay :)
All of us have heard Pachelbel's Canon, but not in this light. Comedian Rob Paravonian goes on a five minute rant about his hatred of this piece of music. Rob is accompanying himself of the guitar playing, guess what... that's right kiddo, Pachelbel's Canon. But he does not have many positive things about the canon. He goes into the motives of Pachelbel in his writing of the song. My personal favorite part of this video comes around 2:15, when he talks about the similarities between Pachelbel's Canon and modern songs of today. The best thing about Rob Paravonian's bit is that it is intelligent. He is not making cliche jokes about elementary topics, and yet he keeps the rating PG. This video is generally entertaining and family friendly. I give it a 4/5. Enjoy :)

Nay :(
Well youtubers, is almost that time of year again, Valentine's day. And while there are many happy couples in love, there are so many haters. Many pathetic, and some just plain entertaining. Well Daniel Gardner, you fell on the pathetic side. Sucks for you, but it gives us a Nay video of the week. Other than the fact that you look like the kind of nerdy serial killer that they make CSI episodes about, you are a sad sad little man. We get it Dan, you are lonely. And Danny boy, it does not help that you talking looks like a cow chewing cud. (note to the reader: if you do not know what cud is, do not look it up, it's disgusting). And he tops off the video with saying that he loves the idea of couples getting hit by a car... can you say psycho? Well Daniel, please, sell your camera and buy yourself a valentine, that's what we call a win-win situation. Daniel's bitterness gets a 1/5. Enjoy?

What do you think?
This is a video of Randy Johnson. If you know baseball you know that he's got a cannon. This guy can pitch! But his pitching quality is not what this video is about. This particular pitch and a bird collided. The bird seems to have exploded in a mass of feathers. So what do you think? Cool, tragic, or just pain weird?

And as for the "Greatest freak-out ever!" video, I think it was a total hoax. If it was real, then it's disturbing-- no doubt. But I think that some kids got bored and that was the product.

  1. I really enjoyed Pachelbel's cannon -- especially the homage to "One Tin Soldier" and the reference to Taco Bell. I never realized how many artists have plagiarized over the years.

And you gotta love that pitch (even if a living being does succumb to an untimely death).
